We specialise in roasting only the best rare breed pigs – never run-of-the-mill commercial pigs – to perfection! So after we have sourced only the best pig there is a long process involved in cooking the pig so that the crackling melts in your mouth and that comes from our own secret recipe dry-rub using only the best herbs and spices from Seasoned Pioneers. Then we make our own apple sauce from scratch fresh for every event! Having tasted a huge range of stuffing we believe that the Organic range of stuffing from the Shropshire Spice Company is simply the best accompaniment to our rare breed roast pork. Finally, rather than serving our hog roast in the ubiquitous pappy bap we go the extra mile and will provide your guests with a bread roll that has been developed by some masterful continental bakers - soft in the middle with a ciabatta-like outside. All-American Pulled Pork
A rare breed Gloucester Old Spot pig is marinated in MannaFood’s own secret “pig rub” and it’s then slow roasted until it’s melt-in-the-mouth tender and ready for “pulling”. The cooking process is much longer than for the traditional hog roast and the marinade oozes the taste of America’s Southern States. There’s no crackling with this option, just oodles of succulent pork served from our awesome big pan in soft locally baked bread rolls with our secret homemade chipotle BBQ sauce.
South East Asian Roast pork
The pig is marinated in a secret blend of South East Asian spices and is then cooked slowly to bring out the most succulent tasting pork imaginable. Rather than being served in the traditional bread roll it is served in an iceberg lettuce leaf cup with diced cucumber and the most wicked all-homemade South East Asian inspired sauce that’s made with fresh lime, coriander, ginger and fresh chillies.
